For this app to go from 1 to a 5, I would have to to be able to join party and talk to my friends while away from the PS4

Just leave messaging in the PlayStation app

Idk whats up with these bad reviews. Nothing is wrong with this app, i use it like a regular msg app to my PS4 friends.

After the last update, I can view my messages but every attempt to send a message read "Cannot send the message". Makes the app completely useless.

There was no reason to separate messages in to another app from the regular PlayStation app. Ever since then, I have not been able to send messages and receive an error message every single time!! What was the point of separating off to a functionally broken app??

The only problem that Ive had with this app, and I use it quite a bit when trying to get in touch with my friends before and after group playing, is that the messages pop up MUCH faster on the PS4 itself and it can take a few minutes before they pop up here. There is a time lag that can be frustrating at times. But, many of my friends that I play in groups with live across the world from me, so I think that is partially why it takes longer on my phone. The other thing thats not consistent is the alert system. Many times I dont hear the notification alert I have setup. I presume that its because it never wakes my phone up like regular messages. The really nice thing about having this messaging system is that you dont need to purchase a keyboard for your PS4 messaging, plus, you can remain logged into your ps4 on both devices at the same time, which is very helpful. I dont know anyone whose having so much trouble as the ppl who said it wont send, but perhaps the developer has corrected those problems by now. App works great for me. Hope the same for everyone!

I dont understand why Sony had to make a seperate app for messages. Which is annoying, first facebook and now this. I dont like it. Period.

Im sure this app is great and all but why do I have to download it when I could do it before on one app where I could manage all my playstation stuff where I could message people and see what they were doing

I send messages but the recipient doesnt get them. They send me messages but I dont receive them on the app. Useless. I wish they wouldve just left the PlayStation app alone as it worked perfectly.

This is the pop-up I get EVERY time I attempt to send a message, please fix... Like for real.

Sony you are a joke for making us download two apps for something so trivial that can be done in one. This needs to be fixed. Sincerely, Disappointed.

I dont even see the point in this app. The PlayStation App worked perfectly to begin with. All this app does is take up much needed space on my phone.

The app works just fine for me, but I dont understand why they had to pull a FaceBook and separate the messaging from the rest of the app? It makes absolutely no sense.

Why not just fix the messages in the old app instead of making a new app?

Can we have something in the app where we can send other PS3 users pictures?

No need for this. The playstation app worked completely fine. This app just takes up more space. Sony why would you do this?

Splitting functionality between two apps is annoying and a terrible user experience. Put it back in one app. Until then, theyre both getting deleted off my phone...just like Facebook.
